The Lancaster Contra Dance happens every 3rd Saturday of the month, except for July.

Whether you're an experienced dancer, or have never attended a dance before, you'll find that our community is warm and welcoming. It is NOT necessary to attend the dance as a couple.

Admission prices:
  • Adults: $8
  • Students: $5
  • Children 15 and younger: FREE

Don't forget that our June dance is out at Pavilion #11 in Lancaster County Central Park, and that it starts an hour earlier than ususal! You're welcome to join us at 5:30 for a potluck supper at the same location. Beginners' Workshop is at 6:15, and the dance starts at 7pm.

Weather and Cancellations

In 12 or 13 years of dancing out in the county park, we've never had to cancel a dance due to rain. The pavilion we dance under overhangs the dance floor by several feet, so we're well-sheltered. If it turns out that a hurricaine is coming through, and we have to cancel, we will post the news right here.
